Some time ago we compiled the ads that my father wrote which brought him much acclaim during his business career and published them under the title, "The Thief of State Street". Occasionally one of our younger customers will inquire about the derivation of the title. For those of you who haven't spent as much time as you should boning up on the history and traditions of Zareh Inc., Dad opened up in Boston's financial district in 1933, and when friends would kid him about his high prices (cashmere ties at $3.50) he coined the expression that served as his nom de phone for his remaining years.
Well the book is now in it's second printing and it's much the same except we've added the appendage "And Son of the Thief" to the title and the new publication contains my ads as well.* Also included is a review by the Boston Globe (favorable), and a photograph of me with a dopey smile on the back cover. There was even some discussion for a while of a centerfold of Andrea, but Mother said "no."
